Lotus gold prices in the world market after a three-week uptrend. Besides gold, silver and another precious metal, platinum, have declined over the past week.

Last week, the price of gold in the world market has decreased by 1.76 percent. Silver fell 3.92 percent and platinum fell 73 percent. Bangladesh Jewelers Association has reduced the price of gold in the country's market from December 15 due to a continuous fall in prices in the world market.

The price of 22-carat gold has been 73 thousand 13 rupees. Besides, 21-carat prativari gold is being sold at 69,984 takas, 18 carats prativari gold at 61,236 taka and traditional method prativari gold at 50,914 takas.

On the last working day of last week, the price of gold per ounce in the world market increased by 7.61, which is 43 percent as a percentage. After that, the price of gold has decreased by 31.61 dollars or 1.76percent. The price of gold per ounce stood at thousand 796.29 dollars. Earlier, the price of gold per ounce stood at 1,827.90 after three consecutive weeks of price hikes. As a result, after falling last week, the price of gold in the world market is still 80 percent higher in a month.
