Python can be added to the food list

Python snakes will be added to the food menu of the people of Florida as soon as they get the green signal from the scientists. CNN reported.

The Burmese python in the Florida Everglades is being explored for human consumption. If it feels safe in all respects, the Burmese python will be included in the diet of the people of Florida.

CNN reports that it is being investigated whether pythons can be added to the human diet. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) Commission is working with the state Department of Health on the matter. The python determines the level of mercury in the snake, whether it is harmful to humans, they are jointly investigating. If considered safe, the python will soon find a place on the menu cards of various restaurants in the state.

The python is a venomous snake. It is not included in Florida’s own livestock. The snake was brought to Everglades in the 1980s. This python has now become a threat to various local animals in the state. In this situation, the FWC has appealed to the general public to immediately inform the concerned authorities if anyone sees a python. But now that the animal has entered the human diet, it is believed that its very existence will be in crisis.

Various tests are being carried out to find out whether the python is safe as human food. A spokesman for the FWC told CNN: We are now measuring the amount of mercury in the tissue collected from its body. ‘

A project called Contractor has been taken up to remove the python from the Everglades. The South Florida Water Management District is working closely with FWC. In the meantime, more than 6,000 pythons have been removed from the area. Donna Kalil worked as a python hunter under the contractor project. She is the first female python hunter associated with this project. In his words, hunting a python is as fun as cooking it. Kalil has so far captured 473 pythons and confirmed their painless deaths.

“It’s a lot of fun,” Donna Kalil told CNN. By adding to the diet it is possible to add many more people to the python extermination project. Python is a big problem for us here. In particular, cattle and pets are at great risk due to these. All local mammals are under threat. So the number needs to be reduced at any cost. ‘
