Russia will never win the Ukraine war. Kyiv is still strong, proud, and free. US President Joe Biden gave this warning in the wake of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s accusations against the West after a year of the Ukraine war.
Meanwhile, China’s President Xi Jinping is going to Moscow to meet with Putin amid ongoing tensions between the United States and China.
US President Joe Biden gave a glowing speech in Poland’s capital Warsaw a few hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s scathing speech. Meanwhile, Biden reiterated the steadfast support of the United States to Ukraine. Said, Putin has not yet realized the strength of the West.
Biden also said, ‘Last year everyone was ready for the fall of Kyiv. But I can say this after visiting Ukraine, Kyiv is still standing strong and with its head held high. Our support for Ukraine will never waver.’
The West is responsible for the start of the war in Ukraine, Biden said in response to the allegations of the Russian president, “Western countries had no plan to attack Russia.” He also accused the Russian army of committing massive atrocities in Ukraine. Also, the US President promised new sanctions on Moscow and more aid packages for Ukraine.
Earlier, in his address to the nation on Monday, Vladimir Putin announced the suspension of the US-Russia Bilateral Nuclear Arms Limitation Treaty. The United Nations has expressed concern over the incident. Washington-Moscow relations have already hit rock bottom over the Ukraine war. Among them, it is feared that the cancellation of this agreement will provoke a new arms race between the two countries.
The Chinese Foreign Minister’s visit to Moscow added fuel to the crisis. Chinese President Xi Jinping may also visit Russia to meet with Putin amid the Sino-US tension over the balloon incident. Although the US Secretary of State accused China of arming Russia, experts believe that Beijing wants to be more active in peace talks to end the year-long war in Ukraine.
