During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to President Guelleh for accepting the identity card and conveyed the greetings of the President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He noted that Bangladesh and the Djibouti Alliance believe in the same values ​​as members of the Non-Aligned Movement and the OIC. Ambassador Jabed Patwari praised Djibouti’s support in resolving the Rohingya refugee problem and hoped that their support would continue.
The Ambassador also mentioned Bangladesh’s potential for economic growth, agriculture, fisheries, readymade garments, leather, ceramics and pharmaceutical industries during his tenure. Djibouti’s President Guelleh expressed interest in importing ready-made garments.
