The United States has removed Sudan from the list of terrorists

The United States has officially released Sudan from the blacklist of terrorism. Sudan was removed from the blacklist after normalizing relations with Zionist Israel. Earlier, Sudan was accused of aiding and abetting state terrorism.

The US embassy in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, has issued a notice.Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has removed Sudan from the list of sponsors of state terrorism and the decision will take effect on December 14.

Outgoing US President Donald Trump announced last October that he planned to remove Sudan from the terror list. The Sudanese military-backed interim government was also struggling to get out of the terror blacklist. They say foreign investment is being severely hampered by being on the list of terrorists.

The United States blacklisted Sudan for terrorism 26 years ago. At the time, the United States said the government of Sudan’s Omar al-Bashir was behind all the terrorist attacks on US installations in Africa.
