UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called on the international community to resume trade with Iran. Guterres made the call despite US illegal and unilateral sanctions on Iran.
He added that it was important to protect the historic nuclear deal signed in 2015. Guterres said the trade could begin under UN Security Council Resolution 2231. The proposal approved a nuclear deal with the Security Council.
Guterres said the agreement with Iran on the nuclear issue was a comprehensive, long-term and just solution. He also said that regional and international peace and security could be maintained through the implementation of the agreement.
