Cricketers are fighting to get back to fitness

Cricketers in captivity. Fitness training is going to be frustrating. The BCB is now trying to send the Tigers to Sri Lanka as all the series of the year have been postponed in Corona.

The Tigers have started private practice at four venues across the country for more than a week. The first round of practice before Eid lasted till Sunday, but in Dhaka it was extended for two more days. Not everyone could return to practice. The few who get a chance in the national team have to fight with fitness the most.

Meanwhile, discussions have started about the Tigers' tour of Sri Lanka. There is no schedule for FTP for the rest of the year. Therefore, the suspended Sri Lanka-Bangladesh series may be in the corona protected bio-bubble of the England-West Indies series. The three-match series was supposed to be part of the ICC Test Championship this month. Now, if the boards of the two countries agree, a new decision will come.

Though discussions have started in Lanka about the Langer version of the series, Tigers Test captain Mominul Haque Sourav has not yet started training. Fast bowlers like Taskin-Khaled-Shafiul started fitness training but could not start bowling practice due to fear of injury. Meanwhile, as the situation in Sri Lanka's corona is not so bad, training has already started under the regular coaching staff a couple of months ago.

A total of 13 cricketers got a chance in the first phase of the Tigers' personal practice. Although the players are interested, the BCB has not yet decided when the team practice will start. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
