Umar Akmal's ban has been reduced

Finally, Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal got the good news. The Pakistani batsman was banned for three years for hiding a fixing offer. That has come down in a year and a half now.

As a result, Umar Akmal will be able to return to the field after August 2021. The batsman hid the offer of fixing in the Pakistan Premier League. The PCB disciplinary committee banned Akmal for three years on April 27 for violating two rules of the anti-corruption code after Dant. Umar Akmal had appealed against it in May. The verdict came on Wednesday and the sentence has been reduced to 18 months.

Umar Akmal, who played 53 Tests, 58 Twenty20s and 157 ODIs for Pakistan, last wore the national team jersey in October 2019.
