India will start the girls' IPL this year

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also considering making the IPL for boys and girls this year. Board President Sourav Ganguly said.

This time the IPL will start on September 19 in the United Arab Emirates, said IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel.

Ahead of the IPL's governing council meeting on Sunday, Sourav told the news agency that women's IPL was being taken seriously enough. There are also plans for the national team.

Though Saurabh did not confirm this, Indian media quoted various sources in the board as saying that the girls' IPL could be held between November 1 and 10.
