IPL franchises are unwilling to follow all the rules of BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to issue a number of guidelines for the smooth conduct of the IPL in the United Arab Emirates.

However, the franchisees did not like some of the issues in the BCCI rules. They have suggested changes in dislikes.

According to the SOP prepared by the BCCI, cricketers and support staff will have to stay in quarantine for six days after arriving in the UAE. But the franchisees want the number of days to be reduced from six to three.

So that the cricketers get time to practice after the three-day quarantine. But the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants the coroners to be tested on the first, third and sixth day after arriving in the UAE.

Only if the report is negative in these three tests will they be able to get into practice. Officials of the IPIPLL Governing Council and the franchise will meet on Wednesday to take a decision on this.
