Leipzig in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in history

Leipzig beat Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the semifinals.

Germany's RB Leipzig has reached the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in club history. Leipzig beat Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in last night's match, winning the match 2-1.

The rules have changed in Corona. There are no spectators on the field. Knockout match instead of two legs. All the rest of the Champions League games are in Portugal. Second quarter final German-Spanish duo. Atletico in front of Leipzig.

Leipzig attacked at the beginning keeping the possession of the midfield. Atletico was alert at the counter. However, both teams lost in the final third. There is no clear cut opportunity in the first half.

Drought cuts just after the break. Disoriented Atletico defense in Leipzig's passing football. Sabitzar's cross made room in the route wing. Unmarked Danny Almo in the D-box did not miss the opportunity. Lead Leipzig.

Atletico Madrid took 20 minutes to digest the goal scored in 50 minutes. The credit goes to Felix, who has been completely replaced. Defeated Leipzig defense near the speed of the Portuguese star. Felix was spot on to SpotKee.

The match was moving towards extra time in a 1-1 draw. Leipzig's Super Sub Adams changed the equation. Making a place just outside the D-box, the shot he took hit the foot of the switch and took place in the net.

Leipzig took place in history by holding that lead. The club born in 2009 is therefore in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
