Suresh Raina also followed Dhoni's path

Suresh Raina, another member of India's World Cup-winning team, said goodbye to international cricket just minutes after the retirement of Indian legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

He also announced his retirement on Instagram through social media. Raina wrote on Instagram, Mahi playing with you is a great feeling. I am proud to say that I am your companion in this journey (leisure). Thank you India.

Suresh Raina made his ODI debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka. However, he was dismissed for zero in his debut match.

Even then, Raina was able to prove himself as an essential member of Indian cricket. He was a regular member of ODI cricket. He holds the record for being the first Indian cricketer to score a century in three formats.

Raina scored 5615 runs in 226 ODIs in his career. He has scored 5 centuries. He has played 18 Tests. However, Suresh Raina is one of the most successful batsmen in the T20 format. In this edition he collected 1605 runs in 78 matches.

One thing is very common in Indian cricket. Raina had survived so long in the team because he is a close friend of Mahendra Singh Dhoni! Even in IPL, two people play in the same team.
