Parents on the streets demanding a reduction in school salaries

Parents of YWCA School on Green Road in the capital have staged a protest rally demanding halving of tuition fees considering the financial crisis in the Covid-19 situation. They marched in front of the school in Green Square around 11 am on Thursday (September 3).

Earlier, the parents had given a memorandum to school principal Anubhuti Sinha on July 12 demanding a 50 percent reduction in tuition fees. On August 26, the parents held a human chain program at the school.

At the rally, the parents claimed that they, like other people in the country, had been financially affected by the Corona epidemic. Many of them have lost their jobs. Someone is getting half of their monthly salary. Again, someone's business is closed and they have to spend their days in extreme misery. Unable to rent a house, many parents have left their homes and gone to their village homes with their children. In this situation, he requested the school authorities to give a humane vision to reduce the school salary by 50 percent.
