ECNEC approves 5 projects worth Tk 3,307.36 crore
Distribution company Titas Gas will install 320,000 pre-paid gas meters in the capital to ensure economical use of natural gas.
On Tuesday, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council-ECNEC passed the second amendment to the ongoing project. In the revised project, the meter fare has been increased from Tk 60 to Tk 100.
A total of 5 projects costing Tk 3,308.36 crore have been approved by ECNEC. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting via video conferencing at the NEC conference room in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Tuesday.
Other approved projects are: Further Development Project of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology and 3 development projects of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
