Last week, 3.1 million people were identified worldwide, which is 17 percent less than the previous week. Last week was the lowest identified in the world since October last year, the agency said.

In the United States, 19 percent less were identified last week than the previous week. Of all the countries and regions in the world, Africa has the lowest number of detections in a week's time. At least 944 species of corona have been found in the United States, including new ones from the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Brazil. The data was provided by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The ban has been extended to June 1 in France to prevent corona. Hungary is the first European country to allow Russia's Sputnik Five vaccine from next week.
