At present, Pakistan is facing a shortage of corona vaccines. In this context, Islamabad has agreed to import and sell the Russian vaccine on a commercial basis this week. Although there are concerns about the fairness and high cost of this vaccine. Contrary to Pakistan's decision, most countries are importing and managing the corona vaccine through government channels.

"We have been asked to bring the first shipment of the vaccine," Omar Chagatai, director of Pakistan's Chaghtai Lab, told Reuters. Hopefully, it will come in next week. Thousands of doses will be imported in the first shipment.

Pakistan, a low-income country with a population of 220 million without a price tag, has come under fire for allowing private vaccines to be sold. Former health minister Zafar Mirza praised the government's efforts to collect vaccines and make them available to the public free of charge but said the decision to sell vaccines to the private sector without pricing would increase inequality in society. This decision was taken at a time when a large number of people need to be vaccinated.
