The company confirmed the withdrawal of its application to the Drug Control Authority of India on Friday. According to Pfizer, a new application will be made by adding some more information as per the demand of India.

Earlier, Pfizer held a meeting with India's drug regulatory authority on Wednesday. However, the regulatory authority wants more information on some issues. That is why Pfizer has decided to withdraw its application, according to Indian media NDTV.

They applied to India last December after receiving approval in the UK and Bahrain. Last month, India urgently approved the Covishield vaccine of Covishield and the biotech produced by Oxford and AstraZeneca's Serum Institute.
