World Bank President David Malpas told Reuters.

He said his organization was working to ensure that poor countries get more vaccines. At the same time, the company is buying vaccines and signing agreements with the producers under its 12 billion program. Under which more vaccines will be ensured for poor countries.

He added that other countries besides Bangladesh include poor countries like the Philippines, Tunisia, and Ethiopia. A similar fund will be set up for 30 more countries as soon as possible, the World Bank chief said. He called on pharmaceutical companies to be more transparent and open about where and how vaccines are going.
