The coronavirus vaccine can be taken while fasting

The chief mufti of the United Arab Emirates, the British Islamic Medical Group, and Egypt's Al-Azhar University has issued a fatwa saying the coronavirus vaccine can be taken while fasting.

Many of those who have recently taken the first dose of the corona vaccine will have their second dose scheduled for Ramadan. Many Muslims are hesitant to get vaccinated at this time. This fatwa was issued in that context.

Even if a fasting person cannot take any food, drink or medicine with his mouth, nose, and other open limbs, he will not break the fast if he injects meat through a needle. Therefore, they have given the opinion that the fasting person can get the corona vaccine.

Meanwhile, Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca said in a press release that their vaccines do not use any pig ingredients.
