Russia, one of the allies of the junta, has warned that blockades and sanctions by Western nations could lead to a civil war in Myanmar. Moscow says measures such as the blockade will only increase divisions and conflict in the country.

On the other hand, the French Foreign Minister said that the EU is going to impose more sanctions on various institutions and individuals related to the military government soon.
