Commencement of limited range of banking activities
Banking activities have started today, five days after the end of Eid-ul-Azha and weekly holidays.
Transactions take place from 10 am to 1.30 pm. And the ancillary activities have to be completed by three in the afternoon. Trading also takes place in the capital market from 10 am to 1 pm.
During strict restrictions, customers will be able to deposit and withdraw money through cash and checks, issue demand drafts, issue pay-orders and make deposits. In addition, remittances can be withdrawn.
Banks will have to continue the distribution of various allowances and grants given under the social activities of the government. During the restrictions, other transaction facilities under the various payment systems and clearing systems of the Central Bank can be provided and activities related to emergency foreign transactions can be continued.
