Holidays of educational institutions were extended till 31st August

The government has extended the ongoing leave of educational institutions till August 31 to prevent corona infection.

The coronavirus infection has reached alarming proportions across the country, prolonging the holidays of educational institutions. A press release issued by the Ministry of Education on Thursday (July 29th) said that due to the deteriorating situation in Corona, the ongoing holidays of all secondary and higher education institutions in the country and Ebtedayi and Qawmi Madrasas have been extended till August 31. Holidays have been extended in all educational institutions on the advice of the National Advisory Committee on Corona, taking into account the health risks and overall safety of students, teachers, staff, and parents due to the effective lockdown and deteriorating infection situation.

Incidentally, after the identification of corona patients in the country, all educational institutions in the country were declared closed from March 16 last year. After that, the leave period was extended in stages. However, many educational institutions have continued their online teaching activities even though the physical examinations of students have been declared closed.
