EPL defending champions Manchester City lost their first match of the new season.

Pep Guardiola's side lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.

The first forty-five minutes of the Spurs' field went into the counter-attack. Rahim Sterling and Fernando Torres did not score in the first half. Leaving the score sheet zero, the two teams go to the break.

Citizens failed to score from several guaranteed chances in the second half as well. However, Tottenham Hotspur took the lead in the 55th minute through a great goal by Son Hyung Min. After that, the citizens started playing desperately to return to the match. In the end, the desired goal did not match. Tottenham left the field with a 1-0 victory.
