Christina Simanoskaya arrives in Vienna, Austria
Belarusian athlete Christina Simanoskaya has arrived in Vienna, the capital of Austria, from Japan.
From there he will go to Poland soon, according to media reports. He continued to fear death by criticizing the coach.
He also sought the intervention of the International Olympic Committee. He alleged that he was forcibly taken to Tokyo airport on Sunday to return to Belarus. However, he was released with the help of the Japanese police. The athlete was then kept in a hotel under tight security.
He later sought refuge in Europe. However, he said it was not a political decision. Poland then granted Simanoskaya a humanitarian visa.
