France is closing short-haul flights, and other European countries will follow suit

Lawmakers in France have agreed to suspend flights to short-distance train services. They have made this decision mainly to reduce carbon emissions.

European airbus makers have announced that they will run on hydrogen fuel by 2035. If it were possible to produce renewable fuels using hydrogen fuel, France could take advantage. However, no information has been obtained as to whether the technology used for this or the cost is comparatively less.

The flight shaming movement started in Sweden in 2016. Sweden has also announced that it will make domestic and international flights environmentally friendly by 2030 and by 2045. Earlier, the country had made it a rule to pay high airport fees to the most polluting airlines in the country.

At the moment, France is stopping short-haul flights on domestic routes and emphasizing the use of alternative means of train and bus.

At the end of the week, lawmakers voted to ban flights on routes that could be reached by train in two to two and a half hours. However, all their long-haul flights will continue. However, in some cases the flight may be delayed.

However, the ban will not affect connecting flights. The decision will now be put to a vote in the Senate before it becomes law. And if it is passed in the Senate, it will become law.

In 2019, French President Emmanuel Macau formed a committee called the France Citizens' Convention on Climate Change. There, 150 citizens of the country were made members. The committee also recommended a ban on flights within the country, which can be reached within four hours.

Earlier, EgyptAir, EgyptAir, launched the first eco-friendly flight in Africa. The flight from Cairo International Airport to Paris provides eco-friendly services for passengers.

The flight, initiated by the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation, uses Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The number of passengers on the flight was 219. Egyptian Civil Aviation Day is celebrated on January 26 every year. The eco-friendly flight has been launched on a trial basis on the occasion of the 92nd National Day on January 26. EgyptAir aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic in flight by 90 percent to protect the environment. The airline, meanwhile, identified 27 single-use plastic products. After that they are replaced with environmentally friendly products.
