US President Joe Biden greets the world's Muslim community on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued Friday from the White House, President Biden said, "I wish First Lady Jill and the Muslim community around the world, including the United States, a very happy Ramadan. This holy month is very important for our lives. This month we can live a holy life by removing all kinds of bad habits.
"This month is a good time to ask God for forgiveness," Biden said. This month is for showing compassion and generosity, for giving. This month, Muslims gather to celebrate the many blessings of life with loved ones. Highlighting the importance of the Holy Qur'an, Biden said that the Qur'an teaches us, "He who does even a small amount of good deeds will see the results."
